My mother used to walk across this dam when she was small, I was never that brave.

Moss is a wonderful thing.

Filling the frame full of color is captivating to me.

When I was walking through the woods toward the dam I could hear the loud roar of the water falling over the edge. I must always go there after long rains like we had the other day.

Cooleemee Mill House

The town of Cooleemee has taken a house and decorated it with vintage furnishings so people who tour it can see how the mill town people used to live. I grew up in this town and I was so happy to see them move this house to it’s current location and finish this project.  I took many photos of the inside of the house and hopefully the CHA (Cooleemee Historical Asso) can make some money off the prints.  So glad I never had to experience an “out house” in my day.
